Brown Sugar Glazed Crock Pot Ham

crock pot ham

I’m a ham lover. Okay, let’s rewind. I’m a just about anything that pops out of a pig lover. I know I’m probably grossing some of you out (sorry vegans and veggies!), but I will devour a plate of bacon or ham before you even knew it was there. Yesterday, I put a quarter spiral pre-sliced ham into the smaller crock pot, covered it with a brown sugar glaze and, voila! Pure mouthly goodness! It only took about 15 minutes to prepare and was done four hours later. We were not quite ready to eat when it was finished, so I placed the crock pot onto the warm setting for a few hours. It was a little dry, but nothing that a good rebasting couldn’t cure. Here’s a peek at the ham cooking on YouTube.

No vegetarian here. We used to get a large ham every Christmas from our landlord and cook it up similarly to how you posted here. The only drawback to buying a house was no more ham gifts!

I have to do that with eggs. I cannot stand them but everyone else loves eggs with their weekend breakfast. Ugh! LOL

I don’t really ‘do’ pork but the rest of my family adores it! Here in the St Louis area pork steaks are a big deal for BBQ season and my husband is a fanatical BBQ guy. I’ll consider throwing this in a crockpot for the rest of them to enjoy. πŸ™‚
