Little Aless is still sick, which caused me to pause and reflect today. Growing up, there were three products that made everything better. We made our first trip to the ER last night with Miss Aless. At first we thought she had a head injury, because she knocked her noggin off of the side of the coffee table while trying to stand yesterday. Don’t judge. Stop thinking we’re horrible parents. It happens when kids start learning how to walk. And most of the time – like yesterday – there is very little reaction time.  One second she was up and then the next, BUMP, she was down. My Self-Tanning Adventure

Today, I tried a new self-tanner. Not one you pick up from a drugstore either. I indulged. This baby was special ordered. Since my skin cancer scare, which we’re still monitoring, I have vowed to never let the sun or a tanning bed toast my skin again. And I won’t break that vow. Read more

Vintage Postcards – A Glimmer of My Childhood

Posted on by Crystal in Life As We Know It | Leave a comment

I grew up in an old farmhouse that was moved by oxen from its original location to the place it still stands today. Inside were all kinds of storage areas and “cubby” holes.
