The holidays are a VERY busy time. There’s the buying of the presents. Wrapping everything. Sending out holiday cards. Planning Christmas dinner. Company parties. The list goes on and on. If you’re finding yourself short on time for baking, then this recipe is for you! Peppermint & White Chocolate Covered Oreos puts a holiday spin on an otherwise cherished cookie.
They are easy to make and perfect to give as a gift or bring to a holiday event. Make sure to look for the holiday Oreos that have the green and red cream filling. And as I always say, don’t be afraid to get creative! Use different types of candies or sprinkles. Go with dark chocolate. The recipe is below, but first…check this out!

Peppermint & White Chocolate Covered Oreos
Serves | 15 |
Prep time | 35 minutes |
Cook time | 2 minutes |
Total time | 37 minutes |
Meal type | Dessert |
Occasion | Christmas |
Ingredients
- 1 Package OREO cookies (If desired, get the ones with red or green creme filling to make them more festive.)
- 8 Ounces white chocolate baking bar or pieces or white candy melts
- crushed candy canes or peppermint candies
Directions
Step 1 | |
Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl for 30 seconds. Stir. Repeat for 30 second intervals (stirring between) until chocolate is nice and smooth.
Step 2 | |
Dip the Oreo cookies into the melted chocolate, allowing the excess to drip off into the bowl, and place them on wax paper or parchment paper.
Step 3 | |
Sprinkle each cookie generously with the crushed candy (do this before the chocolate is completely set so the candies will stick). |
