Rich and Creamy Crock Pot Hot Chocolate

crock pot hot chocolate

The weather outside is not yet frightful, yet here in Maine it’s cold enough to start enjoying some cooler weather food and beverages. In my grandmother’s recipe tin, I found this recipe for Rich and Creamy Crock Pot Hot Chocolate. I have to say, it’s out of his world! No boxed hot cocoa can compare to the taste of this sweet, yet smooth treat.

I made mine with semi-sweet chocolate chips, but I’m sure it’s just as good with milk chocolate or even white chocolate chips for something uniquely different. The boys loved having a cup after coming in from raking leaves. It would also make an ideal addition to any holiday party or dinner event. Top with cinnamon, marshmallows, shaved chocolate, or whipped cream!

This sounds wonderful. I’ve only ever made hot chocolate in a mug with powdered chocolate and hot milk. Must try this the next time we’re going out in the cold for a few hours. It will be lovely to come back to.
